  • Holy Cow Yoga Center 10 Windermere Boulevard Charleston, SC, 29407 United States (map)

Are you yearning for more Yin Yoga learning after completing the first Yin Teacher Training Module?

If so, this second Yin Teacher Training Module is perfect for you. In it, we will delve deeper into the Chinese and Indian energy concepts and how they relate to Yin Yoga. Join Sonia for practice, lecture, and discussion centered around the energetic, emotional, and spiritual benefits of the Yin practice. For example, how can holding a static pose for a period of time clear out energy blockages throughout the body and stimulate organ health?

The topics covered during this module will include:

  • Yin/Yang and the Five Elements Theory

  • The concepts of Chi and Prana

  • Meridian lines and associated organs

  • Relationships of organs, elements, emotions, and seasons

  • Yin poses and associated meridians

  • Chakras and meridians

A free Yin Yoga class on Friday, September 17th, at 5:30pm is included with the price of this workshop.

Sonia Lennartz was introduced to Yoga in 2000, and was immediately drawn to the emotional and physical healing properties of this practice. Her curiosity for the physical and energetic aspects of the body has led her to study with numerous teachers whose styles range from Ashtanga to Iyengar to Yin with instruction from Gabriel Halpern, Richard Freeman, Tim Feldman, Doug Keller, Jason Crandell, Bernie Clark, Paulie Zink, Sarah Powers, Gil Hadley and many others. Her light-hearted approach to teaching stems from the notion that life is serious but yoga doesn’t have to be. She feels that our practice should not be rigid and dogmatic and that every body can practice some form of yoga. She loves to infuse her classes with different flows and poses while inspiring her students to find the practice that fits their individual needs.  She achieved 500 hour certification in 2015.
