FAQs

  • First and foremost, we’re so glad you’re here! Taking the leap can be intimidating, so give yourself some grace as you get acclimated to the space, learn the poses, and find your own flow! Remember, it’s a yoga practice, not a yoga perfect.

We strongly recommend trying out several class styles and teachers until you find what resonates and what you’d like to spend more time learning and exploring.

It’s both okay and encouraged to take a breaks when needed. If you get overwhelmed or confused by the poses, don’t worry! We’ve all been there. Feel free to use other students as a visual reference until you get the hang of it. If you have questions or injuries/physical limitations, don’t hesitate to chat with your teacher prior to class starting.

Yoga is more than just a physical practice, it’s a spiritual one too! At the start and/or close of class, the teacher may have students join in the sound of “om.” Simply put, “om” represents the sound of energy, so by joining together in the sound, we are symbolically joining our energies. The teacher may also say “namaste” to the class. Namaste is your teacher’s way of saying they honor the light in you. By saying it back, you are simply saying that you honor the light in them as well.

  • We generally suggest that most new brand new students start out with Gentle/Gentle Flow/Nice & Flow classes. We offer MANY of these! This will help you to learn the poses and the language of the practice at a slower pace. If that feels too slow or gentle, you can always try something more rigorous next time!

Don’t hesitate to reach out ask ahead of time if you’d like more individualized guidance. We’re happy to help.

  • Definitely wear something comfortable that allows you to move easily. You won’t wear shoes during class.

  • A yoga mat if you have one. If not — no sweat. We have loaner mats here for you to use, free of charge. A water bottle is never a bad idea, either. An open mind can also be a game-changing accessory (:

  • The South Windermere Shopping Center that we’re located in has plenty of free parking for you to use.

  • Although that’s certainly preferred, walk-ins are always welcome.
