Module 5: Gunas~ Finding Balance

Our Modules were created to give the teacher or experienced student a deeper understanding of Yoga asanas, philosophical teachings, anatomy as it relates to more advanced asanas and other aspects of yoga. We offer 3 modules a year in rotation in sequential order, taught primarily by Trace Sahaja Bonner, E-RYT 500, Kat Hendrix E-RYT 500 and Kate Hudson, 500hr.  Those taking the modules as part of the Advanced Studies Program must complete each module or equivalent study.  These programs do not need to be taken in any specific order.

The hours for the weekends are usually: Saturday 11:00am - 5:00pm (lunch break) and Sunday 8:00am - 1:00pm (short morning break).

Gunas: Finding Balance - The world we live in is ruled by and dictated by the gunas (Prakriti). In order to find peace within the constant shifting we must learn to find balance and eventually rise above the duality of the world.  This weekend we will explore the fundamental beginnings of Hatha as a balancing practice for the body.  We will also be looking at twisting asanas, their variations & learning sequencing of floors poses as well as foundational Ayurvedic principles, Prana and concepts of Gunas.
