Join us for a evening of Breathwork & Guided Relaxation
In Sanskrit, “prana” means life energy and “yama” means control. Dr. Sundar Balasubramanian, a long-time researcher of cancer therapies, will share his knowledge and techniques of breathing for heath and wellness. Then, a smooth transition into a Yoga Nidra led by Deborah, a meditative and conscious relaxation practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental and emotional relaxation.

Meet the Instructors
Dr. Sundar Balasubramanian
is a Cell Biology researcher currently studying mechanisms involved in resistance to cancer therapy at MUSC. He is also a Yoga Biology researcher and has written several papers on the evidence of Yoga Practice promoting well-being. Sundar grew up in Tamilnadu, India with a background in Yoga and Siddha medicine. He continues to learn from Yoga Masters from the East and West.
Deborah’s yoga practice began more than 30 years ago during her time as a professional ballet dancer. She received her Yoga Teacher Certification here at Holy Cow in 2009 and has been teaching ever since. She is a certified Chopra Institute Meditation and Primordial Sound Meditation Instructor.
