Yin Yoga & The Water Element: A Special Winter Yin Class with Sonia Lennartz

  • Holy Cow Yoga Center 10 Windermere Boulevard Charleston, SC, 29407 United States (map)

Everything around us is in constant transformation and so are we. Despite our wishes, our body is constantly reacting to the changes that occur in nature. Sometimes our bodies react by adjusting optimally to those changes, although sometimes not so much. Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches us that it’s much easier to go with the flow of changes rather than resisting it. The same teachings aim at responding to those changes by nurturing organ health and balancing energy flow (chi/Qi). As we enter the winter season, we enter the most Yin season of all. This season is ruled by the Water element, the most essential substance for life. An imbalance in the Water element can weaken our Kidney/Urinary bladder channel, leading us to feel energetically depleted. This is a time introspection, relaxation and restoration.

Join Sonia for a 90-minute class designed to explore how some of these concepts apply to our individual body and learn how to nourish this season’s specific meridian lines with long-held poses and acupressure points.
