Deepening Your Yin with Sonia Lennartz

Delving Deeper into Yin

Saturday hours 11:00am-5:00pm with one hour lunch

Sunday hours 8:00am-1:30pm with 30 minute lunch

After learning about the physical benefits of the YinYoga practice in the first module, join Sonia in her discussion around the energetic, emotional and spiritual benefits of this practice.  How can holding a static pose for a period of time clear out energy blockages through the body and stimulate organ health?  This second Yin Teacher Training Module will delve deeper into Chinese and Indian energy concepts and how they relate to Yin Yoga.  Her interest for this practice has brought Sonia to study with the the most prominent Yin teachers Paul Grilley, Bernie Clark, Sarah Powers and Paulie Zink.  Some of the topics covered during this module will be:

  • Yin/Yang and the five elements

  • Chi and Prana concepts

  • Meridians and their associated organs

  • Relationships of organs, elements, emotions, and seasons

  • Yin poses and associated meridians

  • Chakras and meridians

  • Meditation and mindfulness

$150 Early Registration (through September 25th)

$175 after September 25th

Introduced to Yoga in 2000, Sonia was immediately drawn to the emotional and physical healing properties of this practice.  Her curiosity for the physical and energetic aspects of the body has led her to study with numerous teachers whose styles range from Ashtanga to Iyengar to Yin with instruction from Gabriel Halpern, Richard Freeman, Tim Feldman, Doug Keller, Jason Crandell, Paul Grilley, Bernie Clark, Paulie Zink, Sarah Powers, Gil Hadley and many others.  Her light hearted approach to teaching stems from the notion that life is serious but yoga doesn’t have to be.  She feels that our practice should not be rigid and dogmatic and that every body can practice some form of yoga.  She loves to infuse her classes with different flows and poses while inspiring her students to find the practice that fits their individual needs.  She achieved 500 hour certification in 2015.
