Our Modules were created to give the teacher or experienced student a deeper understanding of Yoga asanas, philosophical teachings, anatomy as it relates to more advanced asanas and other aspects of yoga. We offer 3 modules a year in rotation in sequential order, taught primarily by Trace Sahaja Bonner, E-RYT 500, Kat Hendrix E-RYT 500 and Kate Hudson, 500hr. Those taking the modules as part of the Advanced Studies Program must complete each module or equivalent study. These programs do not need to be taken in any specific order.
The hours for the weekends are usually: Saturday 11:00am - 5:00pm (lunch break) and Sunday 8:00am - 1:00pm (short morning break).
Vinyasa: To Place Consciously - Vinyasa has been thrown around to mean flow, but actually it translates as to move consciously or specifically. We see this from K. Pattabhi Jois as to why each move is followed with “vinyasa.” It illuminates the idea of like a rosary, our attention is brought back to the beginning where we start again…and again…and again. Each time we are given the opportunity to See, to be Aware of, what lies in the present moment. This weekend does explore asanas that relate to Hatha Vinyasa (Down Dog, Up Dog, Chaturanga and its variations), but also postures that heighten our sensitivity to the present moment. We will also explore ideas and concepts of sequencing classes and putting together themes and inspiration within our classes. We also practice hands-on adjustments, meditation, pranayama and creating an environment for students and ourselves to reach deeper levels of body and soul.
