Foundations of Ashtanga

Join us for a morning of virtual exploration and learning as we dive into the methodology and basics of the Ashtanga Yoga practice.  

We'll first take a peek into the philosophy behind this sequence and then dive right into our breath and body.  We'll move into unlocking the power of the sun salutations and breath, and then move deeper into standing postures, seated postures, backbending and inversions (don't worry - lots of variations and building blocks as well!).  

You'll leave the morning with knowledge you can apply to any Yoga practice as well as helpful tools to attend any of our Ashtanga classes with a foundational understanding of the movements and how to build your own home practice.  

This workshop is appropriate for anyone new to Yoga or with an existing practice.
