Kundalini: A Special Class with Guest Teacher Alex Seaman

  • Holy Cow Yoga Center 10 Windermere Boulevard Charleston, SC, 29407 United States (map)

On Tuesdays at 4:00pm throughout the month of February join Alex Seaman and enjoy a Kundalini practice. Kundalini yoga is unique. The proven benefits include strengthening the nervous system, balancing the glandular system, boosting immunity, and like all yoga, strengthening your overall sense of self. The practice is fun, it is dynamic, and it can add a depth to your existing practice. While many of the physical postures (asanas) will be familiar, Kundalini Yoga places a particular emphasis on breath work, meditation, and sound. The class will reflect a balance of these elements, and the end result tends to create a boost in energy for those who come to practice.

Meet Our Guest Teacher.

My name is Alexandra Seaman and I am a certified Kundalini E-RYT, Vinyasa and Youth Yoga Teacher. I’ve taught yoga and meditation to youth in the downtown public school system for over a decade, and I approach all yoga through the lens of social justice - by which I mean love in action. I have co-led trainings for youth yoga teachers and in 2019 launched a first-generation, 200-hour training in Kundalini Yoga.

Alex Seaman

I am a copywriter and editor for 3HO, the international Kundalini Yoga organization. While my passion is in teaching Kundalini, my approach to yoga is interdisciplinary - informed by a decade+ of teaching people of all ages, and from all walks of life.

My specialty is in bringing abstract concepts down to earth and delivering a beginner friendly experience that welcomes you into the subtle body and the sacred aspects of practice. I love mantra, music, and dance, and often weave these elements into class. I also play the harmonium and the symphonic gong.

I am trained in Kundalini Yoga through the Kundalini Research Institute, Children’s Yoga, Yoga for Addiction and Recovery, and Yoga for Incarcerated and At-Risk Youth. I am working towards my advanced studies in Hatha Yoga at Holy Cow Yoga Center. Beyond that, I am the solo mama of one special babe. Sat Nam and see you on the mat!
