Gentle Yoga Teacher Training with Ursel Harmon


Gentle Yoga is a healing practice that promotes physical and mental health. This training will focus on modified poses and slow movement guided by breath so Yoga becomes accessible to anyone who might have limited movement for various reasons.

Although geared towards current yoga teachers, this weekend workshop is open to all.

We will cover:
• Poses for building strength, increasing flexibility, and improving balance
• Techniques to quiet the mind using guided meditation and cooling pranayama
• Props and the wall
• Anatomy of specific conditions
• Creating a Gentle Flow class

Hours:

Saturday 11:00am - 6:00pm (with lunch break)

Sunday 8:00am - 1:00pm

Investment - $250 (includes an optional gentle class on Sunday at )


Upon completion of this training, 200-hour Registered Yoga Teachers will receive a certificate to teach Gentle Yoga. Students must be present for all 14 hours to earn the certification. Advanced Studies students receive 14 hours toward their 500/1000 hour certification (optional 15 if attending Gentle class).


Cancellation notices received more than 48 hours before the start of the course will result in either:

  • 75% refund

  • The option of a credit for future trainings/ special event classes without a cancelation fee.

However, if you cancel within 48 hours of the start time, you will not receive a refund or credit.

Went to her first yoga class in 2002 in the search of stress relief and found just what she was looking for. She began teaching in 2004 after being registered with the Yoga Alliance through independent studies which include certifications in Sports Yoga, Yoga Fit, Gentle & Chair Yoga (from the Satchidananda Ashram in VA), Kids Yoga & Prenatal Yoga (from Holy Cow Yoga Center), Relax and Renew Trainer (Judith Lasater) and more. She believes in the calmer aspects of the asana practice and enjoys working with people who have limitations. Ursel truly believes that yoga is for EVERYBODY.
